About Alison

Natural food advocate and chef Julie Morris has been a pioneer in the realm of superfood cooking for well over a decade. She directs the content vision for Luminberry, the world's first online superfood culinary education center, by emphasizing the importance of functional foods, clean ingredients, and breakthrough cooking strategies. She has worked closely with natural food brand leaders, cutting-edge restaurants, major magazines, and popular news outlets, creating recipes designed to enhance life and performance.

 

Julie, along with her partner Oliver Barth, founded Luminberry in 2018 as an effective way to share this knowledge, transforming the way we think about food, select ingredients, and ultimately how we cook.

 

Julie is perhaps best known for her work as a 6x cookbook author—including her New York Times best-seller Superfood Smoothies—and has sold hundreds of thousands of books, which have been translated in eleven languages around the globe. Her recipes have received accolades by celebrated chefs, nutritionists, celebrities, professional athletes, authors, artists, and successful entrepreneurs. She has led numerous courses, talks, and classes to engage more people into the superfood lifestyle, and has a certificate in Nutrition and Healthy Living from Cornell University.

 

When she's not on task in the kitchen, Julie loves to go running on the beach, hike in the nearby trails, tend to her garden, or get inspired with a good book. Julie lives in the greater Los Angeles area with her husband Oliver, daughter Noelle, and her German Shepherd Fritz, all of whom are addicted to kale.
